APPLE & OATS PROTEIN SNACK BARS

 

Ingredients:

Makes 4 servings

• ¾ cup uncooked oats

• ¼ cup oat bran

• 6 egg whites (this is 1 cup of egg whites in carton)

• 30 - 36 grams of vanilla protein powder (or 3 scoops of Propower vanilla)

• 2 tablespoons unsweetened apple sauce

• 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

• 3 packets of NuStevia or Truvia (stevia blends)

• 1 teaspoon of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice

• 2 medium to large apples, diced

• 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Put all ingredients except for apples into blender.
Turn on blender and blend until mixture gets thick.

2. Add the diced or chopped apples to the mix and stir until well distributed.
DO NOT turn on blender with apples.

3. Pour the entire mixture into a Pam-sprayed 8x8 inch square baking dish, and
cook at 350 degrees until done.  Insert toothpick or knife into center of mixture
to check doneness. (about 30 to 35 minutes will usually be perfect)!  

Cut into 8 or more equal bars.
